Sim2TrackLab is an independent editorial platform for sim racing hardware reviews, guides and a unified motorsport calendar. We are not affiliated with any of the manufacturers listed on this site. Publisher details are in our Legal Notice. For privacy requests, use the contact page.

Data controller

The data controller for personal data processed on this site is the site publisher named in the Legal Notice.

What we collect & why

• Account data — email, display name and optional profile fields. Legal basis: contract (to provide the account).
• Activity data — favorites, saved setups, comparisons. Legal basis: contract.
• Support messages — content of messages you send via the contact or support forms. Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to you.
• Technical logs — IP address, user agent, timestamps for security and abuse prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• Optional analytics — aggregated page metrics, only if you accept analytics cookies. Legal basis: consent.

Sub-processors

We rely on the following service providers to operate the platform: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage — EU region) and Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, DDoS protection). They process data on our behalf under their own data processing agreements. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.

Retention

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. After deletion, residual backups are removed within 30 days. Support messages are kept for up to 24 months. Technical logs are kept for up to 12 months.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can request access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction of your personal data, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Contact us via the contact page. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can file a complaint with your national data protection authority (in France: the CNIL).

International transfers

Our infrastructure is hosted primarily in the European Union. If data is processed outside the EU by a sub-processor (e.g. Cloudflare edge nodes), it is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

We will update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
